I returned to Nova Scotia from Ottawa in 2004, freelanced for a few months, then in 2005, at the age of 25, I started my own business with the help of the government and Dalhousie via their Self-Employment Program. I was freelancing for Eric Beal of Spire Design who was planning to move to British Columbia and had asked if I would like half of his clients. It was the perfect opportunity to set up my own graphic and web design business. I ran Graphic Nature until 2011 at which time I accept a contract from the New Brunswick Nurses Union and moved to Fredericton, NB as my partner at the time was about to start work on his masters degree researching microbes and integrated aquaculture systems through UNB and DFO in Saint Andrews, NB.

While operating Graphic Nature, I had the pleasure of helping many new entrepreneurs with their startups dreams, and assisting several established business with their design, marketing and digital media needs.
